Ke Francis is a narrative artist whose practice includes painting, writing stories, and making prints and books. He admires the work of intermedia artist Dick Higgins, co-creator of Fluxus and Something Else Press. Born in Memphis, TN, Francis currently resides in Tupelo, MS. He holds a BFA in sculpture from Cleveland Art Institute and serves as Faculty Emeritus, Full Professor at the University of Central Florida. Francis has been featured in 22 major national and international museum exhibitions, with works residing in 20 major museum collections including the Getty Museum, National Gallery of American Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, Boston Museum of Art, Yale Special Collections, Ginsberg Book Arts Collection, Brooks Museum Collection, High Museum, and more than 30 other museum and corporate collections. |
