Steven Breaux is a process-oriented painter investigating the differences between tactile mark-making and digital media translations through scanning of these marks. His published paper "Waking Space: The Emerging Art Object, Quantum Theory, and Algorithmic Art" explores the quantum-level difference between a digital image and a work produced by hand. He received an MFA from Florida State University and recently retired from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with the rank of full professor. |
